President Ruto Orders NYS Training for Kenyans Seeking Employment Abroad

The inaugural TIME100 Climate list of change-makers in climate action includes President William Ruto.

TIME states that the list’s objective is to honor individuals who are bridging the gap between business value and climate action, “because we believe the business world’s engagement and leadership will be crucial to the planet’s progress.”

Additional prominent individuals on the roster comprise of YouTuber Mr. Beast, vocalist Billie Eilish, band Coldplay, director James Cameron, president of the Rockefeller Foundation Rajiv Shah, US Special Envoy for Climate Change John Kerry, business mogul Bill Gates, and Prime Minister of Barbados Mia Mottley.

TIME named President Ruto a “leader on green investment for Africa” and listed him in the Defenders category of the list. The article also acknowledged President Ruto’s accomplishment in setting up the inaugural Africa Climate Summit, which resulted in $23 billion in financing for environmentally friendly initiatives throughout the continent.

The magazine claims that the TIMES100 Climate list was created by choosing people who are driving change in five important areas: energy, nature, finance, culture, and health, using the most recent data.

“Our reporters, editors, and colleagues at TIMECO2 selected individuals making significant progress in combating climate change by creating business value. We prioritized recent action and sought out measurable, scalable achievements,” TIME said.
