South Africa Opposition Leader Julius Malema in Kenya for Launch of Pan-African Institute

Julius Malema, a member of parliament for the opposition party in South Africa, has arrived in Nairobi prior to the Panafrican Institute’s opening.

Young politicians from all throughout the continent support the Institute, a lobby group that works to promote continental integration.

Malema is the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), a political organization he founded in response to the African National Congress (ANC), which was in power, because of the stance the independence party was adopting.

The outspoken MP Malema, who has spoken criticism of South Africa’s white population and Africa’s colonial heritage, mentioned that the Institute will include people from the diaspora, including Americans.

Only minutes after landing at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Malema stated that it was critical for the continent to unite and confront some of the issues afflicting Africa.
