UDA Event Turns Chaotic Over Supremacy Battle in Bomet

Chaos erupted around Bomet County Woman Representative Linet Toto following heated supremacist clashes at a United Democratic Alliance rally.

Political realignments in the area, with many leaders eager to rule their own regions, were the root of the upheaval.

Shortly after National Assembly Majority Whip Sylvanus Osoro reached the floor, rival camps supporting Senator Wakili Sigei and Governor Hillary Barchok engaged in combat.

Even as powerful politicians portray themselves as regional kingpins, Osoro warned lawmakers against the realignments, stating that it is not the appropriate course to follow.

The South Mugirango MP did not complete his speech because immediately after, pandemonium broke out.

Officers arrived to calm the situation and escorted senior officials and dignitaries to safety.

The female representative downplayed the mayhem that was seen throughout the event on social media, hailing it as a success.

As the UDA grassroots elections approach, rival leaders vying for different positions have been at odds.

The politics of 2027, with politicians positioning themselves for different stances and eager to win over people, exacerbate the situation.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua proclaimed himself kingpin in Mount Kenya, claiming that God had appointed him to be the region’s leader.

Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has also expressed interest in the realignments, claiming that an unidentified politician has killed leaders’ careers in an attempt to become the kingpin.
