UDA leaders issue demand to Kalonzo after meeting with Uhuru Kenyatta

Following his meeting with former President Uhuru Kenyatta, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka received demands on Sunday from senior UDA leaders.

Kalonzo was criticized by Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot and National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah for their demands that Uhuru reveal any and all looted items from his administration.

According to the two leaders, Uhuru made the decision to appear in public on Sunday after discovering that Ichung’wah intended to initiate the establishment of a State Capture Commission.

It so happens that both leaders are members of the National Dialogue Committee (NADOC), which is co-chaired by Ichung’wah and Kalonzo.

“It’s time for Uhuru Kenyatta and I to have an open dialogue about the state of the economy, the consequences of state capture, and the problems facing the economy of this nation. Get him on stage, please,” Ichung’wah pleaded with Kalonzo.

Ichung’wah continued, expressing his gratitude to Kalonzo for reviving the former president’s career in politics.

He clarified that this was the only way Kenyans could learn the whole truth about the amount of public funds embezzled under Uhuru’s administration.

Cheruiyot, who is also a member of NADOC, agreed with his counterpart in the National Assembly that the Kenya Kwanza administration was headed toward regaining stolen public funds.

Uhuru made a political jab at President William Ruto’s administration on Sunday, saying that it was operating on justifications.

He claimed that the Kenya Kwanza administration was placing the blame for all of their mistakes on him rather than accepting accountability.
